These stations can be integrated according to customer needs and requirements. The applications for these automatic stations includes and not only: the meteorology; agro-meteorology; hydrology and water quality and flow; environmental contamination and air quality; solar; aviation; bridge monitoring….
The difference for the different applications are the types of sensors and parameters to be read and process. The main parts for these customized weather stations are: Data loggers The Dataloggers are an essential component in data acquisition systems. They can scan a wide variety of measurement sensors, perform any programmed calculations, convert the data to other units of measurement, and store the data in memory. Dataloggers can also transmit the data for analysis, sharing, and reporting, as well as control external devices. In our systems we use mainly the data loggers from Campbell Scientific. For the details see the link: https://www.campbellsci.com/dataloggers Power supply Reliable power supplies enable data acquisition systems to continuously acquire and process data. Because the components from Campbell scientific which we use, are of minimal power, many of these systems can be run using sealed rechargeable or alkaline batteries. Systems that require more power are often supplemented with external rechargeable batteries, regulators, ac transformers, or solar panels. For the details see the link: https://www.campbellsci.com/power-supplies Specific sensors The sensors used, measure a broad array of parameters for environmental, water resource, research, and industrial applications. The sensors output electrical signals, which are transmitted to dataloggers. In addition to line of sensors used from Campbell Scientific, almost any commercially available sensor can be measured by our data acquisition systems. For the details see the link: https://www.campbellsci.com/sensors Enclosures The Enclosures are designed to protect a data acquisition system’s most sensitive components from elements such as dust, water, sunlight, or pollutants. Depending on the size of the enclosure and the size of the components, an environmental enclosure may house a datalogger, communication peripheral, power supply, and appropriate sensors. For the details see the link: https://www.campbellsci.com/enclosures Tripods and towers Tripods and towers offer stable structures on which to mount and support the components of data acquisition systems—either individually or collectively (in enclosures). Cross arms and mounting poles offer additional horizontal and vertical mounting options. Mounts are used to fasten sensors or peripherals to tripods, towers, and poles. For the details see the link: https://www.campbellsci.com/tripods-towers Software Data acquisition software is used for a variety of purposes: to support datalogger programming, enable communication between dataloggers and computers or mobile devices, manage data files, and display data in graphical formats. More advanced users can add custom capabilities or interfaces with Campbell Scientific software development kits. For the details see the link: https://www.campbellsci.com/software Communication The Communication devices store and retrieve data acquired by data acquisition systems. These devices facilitate the accessibility, analysis, sharing, and reporting of data. The available communication devices include both on-site and telemetry peripherals, which can be used in the same application for maximum flexibility, convenience, and reliability.
